Kerala is a state on the southwestern coast of India along the Arabian Sea. It is known for its palm-lined, wide sandy beaches and backwaters. The great natural beauty and diverse ecology leads to the state to be promoted as “God’s Own Country.” Kerala is a world away from the hectic action of the rest of India and gave us a needed mental/physical break during one of our trips. It provided the full beach atmosphere and Pink Lady umbrella drinks, though the rip tides could be brutal, and sunscreen could not be trusted. As you relax in your tropical paradise, embrace the swathe of a soul-soothing, mood-boosting sunniness as you slow your subcontinental stride to a blissed-out amble.
